Description

Abell 84
PK 112-10.0

The Planetary Nebula Abell 84 is located in the Constellation Cassiopea and was discovered in 1955 by the American astronomer George Ogden Abell on the photo plates of the 200-inch Hale Telescope at the Palomar Observatory on Palomar Mountain in California. The 200-inch telescope was the largest in the world from 1949 until 1975 and is still active today.

The nebulosity shows up well in both the H-alpha and Oxygen filters. I added a few extra Ha subs as I was waiting for the PN to transit.

Thanks, Eddie
